Siglo Modern Filipino

For our third and last stop for the Food Crawl, we went to SIGLO MODERN FILIPINO. This is the restaurant of View Point Hotel. This restaurant is just beside Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and just across Picnic Grove (Just 5 minutes away from our house. Haha!).

Siglo (from Spanish word siglo) which means a century (100 consecutive years)

This place is very homey. The interiors have this earthly colors and it goes really well together. It also has this old and modern vibes combined. The place is just perfect, also instagramable.

This restaurant really values our Filipino foods. They serve various dishes not just from Cavite but also from all around the Philippines. And they are very creative! Thumbs up to that!

FOOD

They served us their three Bilao specials — Siglo Bilao, Barkada Bilao, and Luzviminda Bilao. Each Bilao has their distinctive dishes and just look at their food presentation! 

SIGLO BILAO. Native Tinola, Kare-Kare classic, Crispy Tawilis, Pancit Pusit, Siglo Salad. The Pancit Pusit is surprisingly good! 

BARKADA BILAO. Bulalo, Crispy Sisig, Calamares Frito, Himagsikan Wings, Gising-Gising. I like this bilao the most because of the Calamares and Sisig. Haha! They are my fave!

LUZVIMINDA BILAO. Bagnet Ilocos, Chicken Binakol, Kare-Kareng Lamang Dagat, Lumpiang Shanghai, Ubod Salad. Love the Bagnet Ilocos! The Philippines has three island groups — Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. And that's where the name Luzviminda comes from. 

Your Tagaytay trip won't be complete without Bulalo, of course. ;)

Each Bilao comes with fresh fruits and 1.5L of Coke.

This is their newest drink which is called Bukangliwayway (English: Dawn). Very creative, isn't it?  This will be launched this week. P.S. This is not your ordinary iced tea. :p

Aside from the food and place, their service is also good. They made us feel welcome and they are very accommodating. They gave us an overview of the restaurant and explained their menu. This restaurant is almost perfect but it is a bit pricey for me. Nevertheless, this is still a great restaurant for me. If you're into Filipino foods, this is definitely the restaurant for you.
