Valentine's Day at Hot Star

This is our 5th time to celebrate Valentine's Day together. But unlike before, we don't make it as a big deal anymore. He usually give me flowers during our first three years, but this time, I told him not to buy anything for me to be practical. I am not against people who celebrate Valentine's day, it is just I already experience that "kilig" & flowers and I just want to be practical. To be honest, we always see each other and we always go out. Being with him is enough on Valentine's day and just do the things that we are used to which is food tripping.

We met after his AM shift from the hospital. We were discussing when he remembered Hot Star Large Fried Chicken at Vista Mall, Sta. Rosa because we always wanted to try that out. It's really a good thing that they have now a branch at Vista Mall, Sta. Rosa. It is the only branch here in the south. It is just near Nuvali. So yeah, this is where we celebrated our Valentine's date.

I wanted to try their  famous 12" fried chicken but I had doubts if I could finish it. all by myself. The staff offered us their Junior Signature Rice Meal and she also gave us coupons for discount. So we got it for 99 pesos each meal with drinks. Joseph ordered crispy junior chicken in barbeque sauce while I got mine in original junior chicken in barbeque sauce as well. We also ordered spaghetti. 

We both got suprized when the food was served. Their junior signature chicken is already big especially when it is just a 99 peso meal. I was not really expecting like that. For the taste, I  like Joseph's order more. Although the sauce was just the same, the crispy chicken is tastier. I wanted to try their  famous 12" fried chicken but I had doubts if I could finish it. all by myself. We also ordered spaghetti. They also give a generous amount of gravy which is a good thing because I like to  put condiments on  my food a lot. Am I the only one? Haha! But to be honest, their chicken is already tasty as eff that you don't even need much gravy for it. But of course, it would be tastier if you put gravy. It is so good. Joseph is very picky in foods but he really like it. He even said that we should come back again. Haha! And by the way, one rice is not enough! We both ordered extra rice.

The place is also a big thumbs up. It is clean and very instagram friendly. The place is not crowded that time. There was just us and a family that time. The staffs are also friendly. And they have easy to access and fast wifi which is another good thing.

I can give 5 stars for our first experience at Hot Star. They offer very affordable meals and good food. The place is very instagram friendly too. We would definitely come back for more!
